Commercial

If you own or lease a commercial property and need it painted, we will be more than happy to sit down with you to first determine if the city and/or your landlord has any restrictions in terms of the color or type of paint you can use. Once this is determined, we will work around the restrictions, if there are any, to meet your expectations and make your commercial property look its best. The reality is, the appearance of your business is enough to attract or deter customers or clients away so we will make it our duty to ensure that it gives off a modern and appealing look so that it attracts those you are looking to bring in.

With the vast array of color choices available today, it can be hard to know where to begin. And if you’re like many homeowners, you want to make sure you’re not only choosing the right colors, but also colors that will coordinate from room-to-room, or from interior to exterior. The good news is that there are many easy resources available to help you create your personal palette with confidence.

Think of a favorite rug or fabric you own. Often these objects are your favorites because they feature all the colors you like.  Use the combinations as a guide to choosing colors for your wall.

Consider these ideas to transform your home:

For a smooth transition between spaces, try choosing a color for one room and paint the adjacent space two shades away, lighter or darker, using tones from the same color chip.

Wake up beige. Adding shades of the same color creates depth and interest. Paint below the chair rail a deeper shade of the existing wall. Choose textured curtains from the same color family.

It doesn’t take much color to punch up a space. Create a feature wall with a contrasting or complimentary color. A nook, window bay or the wall behind your headboard can be great candidates for feature walls.

How To Stain Concrete

Scrub the Area

Begin by removing dirt, grease or mildew with a non-residue cleaner and a stiff-bristled brush. For stubborn oil and grease stains, a pressure washer and a degreaser may be needed.

Spread the Acid Solution

Put on boots, gloves and safety goggles with a respirator before handling the muriatic acid. Mix one part acid into four parts water in a plastic sprinkling can. Wet the concrete surface once again and soak any surrounding grass or shrubs. Then sprinkle the acid solution onto the concrete. It should bubble on contact. Allow the acid solution to etch for 20 to 30 minutes to neutralize the concrete’s alkalinity, and then remove the acid with a broom and plenty of water.

Apply a Concrete Stain

Let the concrete dry for a least 48 hours, and sweep off any residual concrete powder. Now you can begin applying a concrete stain with a roller or brush in any style or pattern you desire. If a second coat is needed, wait 24 hours between coats.

How To Stain A Deck

Planning to stain or paint a deck is easy when you follow these simple steps.

Help protect or restore your deck using Sherwin-Williams stains and paints.

With SuperDeck®, you can beautify and protect your deck or porch in the same day. The process is easy when you follow these simple steps.

1. Choose the Right Cleaning Product – Which SuperDeck® cleaning product you need depends on the condition of your deck or porch.

Stain & Sealer Remover

Use Stain & Sealer Remover on all exterior wood that has been previously treated or stained. Always follow up with an application of Revive.™

Revive™

Revive™ neutralizes Stain & Sealer Remover and restores the natural appearance of cedar or redwood. Revive also takes the factory finish off of new wood.

Deck Wash

Use Deck Wash to remove mold and mildew from composite decking and unstained pressure-treated wood.

2. Choose the Right Stain – The type of stain you choose depends on the appearance and durability you want to achieve.

Clear
While offering the least UV protection, clear stains provide an optimum view of natural wood grain.

Toners
Toners provide a light color that highlights wood grain and provides good durability.

Semi-Transparent Stains
Semi-transparent stains provides very good durability as well as a rich, pigmented color that allows the natural wood grain to show through. For severely weathered natural wood, Sherwin-Williams recommends that you apply two coats of semi-transparent stain.

Solid Color Stains
Solid color stains help cover up wood blemishes or unsightly grain while offering maximum durability. Advanced technology makes Solid Color Stain a perfect choice for composite decking

How to Add Wall Graphics

Supplies Needed:

  • Art Projector

  • Art: You can use an image from your child’s bedding, a favorite book or clip art

  • Small to medium size paint brushes

  • Pencil

  • Paint in your selected colors

NOTE: Since you are painting only small areas, a quart of paint will usually be sufficient
  • Paint Tray

  • Roller cover and frame

  • Paint brush for cut in around trim

Wall graphics add a customized look to your room and are easy to accomplish with the right tools. Read the steps below on how to add wall graphics to your wall.

Step 1:

When you have all your supplies ready, paint the walls your desired base color. Let dry for four hours or overnight for best results.

Step 2:

Project the image you have selected on to your wall, position and size to your satisfaction.

Step 3:

Using a pencil, trace the design on to the wall using a light touch. If you feel confident, you can keep the image projected on the wall and begin painting following the outlines of the projected image.

Step 4:

Begin painting your design with the colors you selected.

Tip:  Let each color dry to the touch so you don’t accidentally smudge one of your colors.

Step 5:

Sit back and enjoy!
